Siegfried Lettmann was awarded the Constantinus Award. The interim management professional received an award in the Management and Consulting category for his comprehensive change project for MEIKO, a mechanical engineering company based in Offenburg. The award ceremony took place on June 14, 2018.

Lettmann’s award goes back to his mandate for the Offenburg-based mechanical engineering specialist MEIKO. The Salzburg-based business development expert was responsible for a large number of change projects at the same time and celebrated enormous success. The assignment has already earned him the title of “Interim Manager of the Year 2018” (DÖIM) and has now continued his triumphal march at Constantinus. Despite his many laurels, Siegfried Lettmann remains modest: “My greatest successes are those of my clients. My goal has always been to provide SMEs with the highest level of up-to-date know-how and implementation competence. For me, the award is above all a sign that this has been successful.” The nomination for Constantinus alone is tantamount to a World Cup participation, as jury spokeswoman Barbara Steininger from the business magazine Trend explained.

The temporary manager took care of a complete overhaul of the sales department for MEIKO, a new customer segment management, and trained future management personnel in the course of his work on these topics. In the course of his mandate, Lettmann already received much praise from all sides of the company. Sebastian Hainz, Lettmann’s successive permanent sales and marketing director, was already convinced at the time that Lettmann had initiated an extremely positive development: “We now know better than before what we can do and where we want to develop and how. Since Lettmann started his own business as an interim manager, success stories have paved his way. He was voted one of the best start-ups of the year by GEWINN 2015 and has received several awards for his work since then. In addition to his specialist knowledge, his professional approach always plays a role. MEIKO personnel manager Beate Friedrich, for example, emphasized that his prudent approach even convinced the works council. DÖIM also justified Lettmann’s appointment as Interim Manager of the Year with the fact that personalities like him would further develop the industry and that he represented “genuine interim management”. He is regarded as a hard-working, prudent and very knowledgeable partner for companies, develops powerful strategies and ensures smooth implementation without disrupting day-to-day business.

The Constantinus Award offers Austria’s consulting and IT companies a platform. In 2018, for the 16th time already, the highest quality projects entered the race. For the winners, the award means not only a stately proof of quality, but also public attention and prestige. The WKO, a member of Constantinus, writes that an 83-member jury determined the “most creative, innovative and demanding projects” in the awarding process; the evaluation of the projects lasted an entire month. 123 projects were submitted this time and evaluated in two phases. The prize, initiated by UBIT, is awarded each year in a different federal state, this year the venue was Salzburg. The award gala took place on 14 June in the Brandboxx in Salzburg. Constantinus Honorary President Susanne Höllinger explained that Austrian consulting quality is now more important than ever.
